*VENISE-Basilica di Santa Marie della Salute*
En 1630, la peste s'abattait encore sur Venise. Le Doge Contarini va demander à la vierge Marie la fin de l'épidémie et lui promet de lui dédier une église. Cette basilique est consacrée en 1687. Elle a été construite là où le Grand Canal se jette dans le bassin de Saint Marc.
In 1630, the plague still fell down on Venice. The Doge Contarini will request from the Virgin Mary the end of the epidemic and promises to dedicate a church to her. This basilica is devoted in 1687. It was built where the Large Channel is thrown in the basin of Saint Marco.

*VENISE- Pont des soupirs et masques...*
Avant d'aller nous perdre dans le dédale des rues de Venise, nous avons réussi à nous glisser dans la foule pour prendre deux clichés du célèbre Pont des soupirs.
Ces fameux soupirs n'ont jamais été ceux des amoureux mais ceux des prisonniers qui après avoir été jugé au siège du pouvoir, bâtiment se trouvant à gauche, devait se rendre à la prison (à droite sur la photo).
Before going to lose us in the maze of the streets of Venice, we succeeded in slipping to us into crowd to take two pictures of famous Pont of the sighs.
These famous sighs were never those of lovers but those of the prisoners who after being judged in the left being building, had to go to the prison (on the right on the picture).
Visiter Venise c'est également admirer le travail des artistes sur les masques de carnaval ! ils ont plus beau les uns que les autres ! Par pitié éviter d'acheter sur les petites places de marché !! Le véritable masque Vénitien se trouve dans ces toutes petites boutiques qui jalonnent votre ballade dans la ville !
To visit Venice is also to admire the work of the artists on the masks! they have the ones in vain than the others! Pleeease avoid buying on the small places of market!! The true Vénitien mask is in these very small shops which mark out your ballade in the town.

*VENISE- suite place Saint Marc*
La Basilique San Marco est un merveilleux monument, grandiose et d'une beauté stupéfiante, surtout au coucher de soleil...mon seul regret est de n'avoir pu qu' apercevoir l'intérieur, étant interdit de s'arrêter. Nous défilons à grande vitesse poussés par la foule....
Cette basilique est d'architecture bysantine. Elle est avant tout la chapelle du palais ducal. Ce n'est qu'à partir de 1807 qu'elle devient la cathédrale de Venise, supplantant l'ancienne cathédrale (fondée en 774) de San Pietro di Castello.
The Basilica San Marco is a magnificent monument, grand and of a stunning beauty, especially in the sunset my only regret is to have been able only to perceive the inside, being forbidden to stop. We scroll in big speed pushed by the crowd...This basilica is of architecture bysantine. It is above all the chapel of the ducal palace. It is only from 1807 when it becomes the cathedral of Venice, supplanting the ancient cathedral (based in 774) of San Pietro di Castello.

*VENISE-Place Saint Marc*
Au bout de cette Ligne 1 de Vaporettos, nous arrivons à la Place Saint Marc. C'est le coeur historique, politique, religieux et touristique de Venise. Nous nous attendions à la foule et nous n'avons pas été déçus !! Mais c'est sans problème que nous avons pu admirer le campanile, la basilique, le grand ensemble de la bibliothèque Marciana, mais pas la tour de l'horloge qui était en rénovation.
Le lion ailé est le symbole de Venise et de toute la Vénétie. vous trouverez ici un site très intéressant sur le Lion de Saint-Marc.
At the end of this Line 1 of Vaporettos, we arrive at the Place San Marco. It is the historic, political, religious and tourist heart of Venice. We expected the crowd and we were not disappointed!! But it is without problem that we were able to admire the bell tower, the basilica, the housing scheme of the library Marciana, but not the tower of the clock which was in renovation.
Le Palais des Doges
C'est le symbole de la puissance de la République de Saint-Marc et le siège du gouvernement. il date de 1340 et est de style gothique flamboyant.

*VENISE-suite Grand Canal*
Voici d'autres photos du Grand Canal, j'y inclus le célèbre pont RIALTO. A l'origine (1200), ce n'était qu'un pont-levis en bois. Mais incendié et écroulé maîntes fois, il est remplacé par ce pont en pierre en 1591.
Here is the other photos of the Grand Canal, I include the famous bridge RIALTO there. Originally (1200), it was only a wooden drawbridge. But burned and collapsed many a time, it is replaced by this stone bridge in 1591.

*VENISE-Ballade sur le Grand Canal*
C'est sous une chaleur accablante que nous arrivâmes à Venise. Le camping repéré déjà lors de ma préparation au voyage, se révèle parfait avec un bus direct pour rejoindre le Grand Canal. Pas de voitures, nous sommes conduits au coeur de Venezia grâce aux Vaporetos.
Je n'arrive pas à réaliser que, ENFIN !, nous sommes à Venise ! Et nous admirons déjà les magnifiques palais tout au long de ce grand Canal.
It is under an oppressive heat that we arrived to Venice. The campsite tracked down already during my preparation for the journey, shows itself perfect with a direct bus to join the Grand Canal. No cars, we are driven in the heart of Venezia thanks to Vaporetos.
I do not manage to realize that, FINALLY! We are in Venice! And we already admire the magnificent palaces throughout this Grand Canal.

*VERONA (2)*
En nous promenant sur le Liston, nous entrons dans la Via Mazzini, la rue connue pour ses magasins. Au bout de la rue nous tournons à droite dans la Via Cappello, dans laquelle, au numéro 23, se trouve la Maison de Juliette (Casa di Giulietta), nous passons sous une arcade et dans la cour nous découvrons le célèbre balcon. Juste en dessous trône la statue de Juliette, assaillie par une horde de touristes ! Impossible de la prendre en photo, tout le monde veut être pris touchant de la main le sein droit de l’héroïne ! (sic !!)
Nous avons ensuite déambulé au hasard dans la ville, je vous mets ici quelques photos …
While walking on the Listel, we enter Via Mazzini, the street known for its stores. At the end of the street we turn right in Via Cappello, in which, to the number 23, is the House of Juliette. we pass under an arcade and in the court we discover the so ceelbrated balcony. Just below throne the statue of Juliette, attacked by a horde of tourists! Impossible to take it in photograph, everyone wants to be taken touching hand the right breast of heroin! (sic!!) We then sauntered randomly in the city, I put some photographs here to you...

*VERONA (1)*
VERONE – C’est la plus belle ville d’art de Vénétie, après Venise. Elle est connue surtout pour Roméo et Juliette qu’immortalisa Shakespeare.
Les Arènes : un des amphithéâtres romains les plus importants et les mieux conservés. Datant du 1er siècle après Jésus Christ, l'intérieur est composé de 44 rangs de gradins. Aujourd'hui dans les Arènes, on peut recevoir plus de 25 000 spectateurs !
La Piazza delle Erbe (Place des Herbes) est un ancien forum qui accueille aujourd’hui un marché animé et touristique. Au fond s’élève le Palais Maffei.
La Piazza dei Signori : Joyau de la Renaissance, voici la Loggia del Consiglio. De l’autre côté de cette place se trouve la Tour d’angle reliée par une arcade au Palais du Capitaine.
Cette place étant en travaux nous n’avons pas pu admirer hélas l’escalier gothique à deux rampes, appelé Scala della Ragione du 15ème siècle.
VERONE - It is most beautiful town of art of Venezia, after Venice. It is known especially for Romeo and Juliette that immortilisa Shakespeare. Today in the Arenas, one can receive more than 25 000 spectators! Piazza delle Erbe (Place of Grasses) is an old forum which accomodates today an animatedand touristic market. At the bottom rises the Maffei Palate.
Piazza dei Signori: Jewel of the Rebirth, here the Loggia del Consiglio. Other side of this place is the Tower of angle connected by an arcade to the Palate of the Captain. This place being in work we could not alas admire the Gothic staircase with two slopes, called Scala della Ragione of the 15th century.
